Good little book。 Great characters, good plot and if you like mysteries, I think you’d like it even more than me。 Very teeny detective! Really enjoyed it!

3/5The Good:it was a quick and entertaining read。 i found myself not being able to put the book down and flipping the pages non-stop sometimes lol。 also, the concept of taking inspiration from the breakfast club, pretty little liars, and some gossip girl was kinda nice but i feel like it had much more potential。 there were several twists and turns which were really fun and had you questioning EVERYONE。 and i really liked the strong sister bond between ashton and addy & bronwyn and maeve。 The Bad 3/5The Good:it was a quick and entertaining read。 i found myself not being able to put the book down and flipping the pages non-stop sometimes lol。 also, the concept of taking inspiration from the breakfast club, pretty little liars, and some gossip girl was kinda nice but i feel like it had much more potential。 there were several twists and turns which were really fun and had you questioning EVERYONE。 and i really liked the strong sister bond between ashton and addy & bronwyn and maeve。 The Bad:meh。 this would be an AWESOME TV show。 but as a book, meh。 the “plot twist” was very underwhelming。 character development wasn’t great at all。 also, the characters were honestly such a cliché。 the police were so useless and dumb。 idk why they were even mentioned in the story。。。 the ✨teens✨ saved the day。 overall, it was a light and really fun read but it definitely did NOT live up to all the hype。 i don’t regret reading this at all!! buuut with all the hype around it, i just wished i got more out of it :/ 。。。more

I have been a huge fan of mysteries since I read Cam Jansen and Nancy Drew in elementary school。 That being said, I usually have a good idea on how to solve the mystery long before the twist is revealed。 However, Karen McManus’s books always leave me for a loop and shock me at the end。 This book is Breakfast Club meets Clue where everyone has a motive and no one can be trusted。 As the cover says, everyone has secrets。 At Bayview High, Simon runs a gossip app called About That that reveals the st I have been a huge fan of mysteries since I read Cam Jansen and Nancy Drew in elementary school。 That being said, I usually have a good idea on how to solve the mystery long before the twist is revealed。 However, Karen McManus’s books always leave me for a loop and shock me at the end。 This book is Breakfast Club meets Clue where everyone has a motive and no one can be trusted。 As the cover says, everyone has secrets。 At Bayview High, Simon runs a gossip app called About That that reveals the students’ secrets。 He and four other students have detention one afternoon。 Bronwyn, the valedictorian, Cooper, the star athlete, Addy, the pretty girl, and Nate, the school criminal all have reasons to dislike Simon。 However, Simon ends up dead during detention and the four classmates are the prime suspects。 The story is told through each of their viewpoints and allows them to connect as the story continues。 Each chapter introduces other characters such as Mr。Avery, Maeve, Vanessa, Jake, etc who are all connected to Simon in some way and could be the murderer。 I love how McManus kept me guessing and doubting myself with each chapter/reveal。 I found the big reveal to be satisfying, and I’m kicking myself for not figuring it out earlier that Simon planned his suicide as a fake murder。 I loved all the characters and how they were more than just their school titles (bad boy, athlete, pretty, etc。)。 I cannot wait to read the next book in the series! 。。。more

3。75/5☆I truly enjoyed this book。 It was an easy, fun read and I often found myself disable to put it down。 The story was well-developed and most of the characters were pretty interesting and likable。 I loved the relationship between Bronwyn and Nate, they are really cute。Now to the downsides, which admittedly aren't that many。 To start, the "plot-twist" wasn't that unexpected。 At least I saw that coming。 Taking that into account as well as the fact that it wasn't such a breathtaking read, that' 3。75/5☆I truly enjoyed this book。 It was an easy, fun read and I often found myself disable to put it down。 The story was well-developed and most of the characters were pretty interesting and likable。 I loved the relationship between Bronwyn and Nate, they are really cute。Now to the downsides, which admittedly aren't that many。 To start, the "plot-twist" wasn't that unexpected。 At least I saw that coming。 Taking that into account as well as the fact that it wasn't such a breathtaking read, that's why I rate it this way。 I don't think I'll be reading the sequel of this mostly because I have so many other books in my tbr that are much more intriguing。However, since I still found it enjoyable, I would recommend it to anyone who likes mystery, just don't go with expectations absolutely high。 。。。more

I love multiple characters linking together, this was just a big yes

Despite the predictable reveal, it was a fun little murder mystery to read。 I have to admit that Nate and Bronwyn stole the show and at some point I was only ever looking forward to their POVs。 I couldn't really connect to Addy and Cooper was just an okay character to me but but I highly appreciate their character developments。 I definitely recommend。 Despite the predictable reveal, it was a fun little murder mystery to read。 I have to admit that Nate and Bronwyn stole the show and at some point I was only ever looking forward to their POVs。 I couldn't really connect to Addy and Cooper was just an okay character to me but but I highly appreciate their character developments。 I definitely recommend。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I actually had a great time reading this book。 It kinda reminds me of the show Elite an original series on Netflix。 But the characters speak English than Spanish ofc。 I also predict the ending。 Like 7-9 chapters before it ends。 Since I watch a lot of crime, mystery and thriller movies/series, when I read the same genres it doesn't shook me as much cus I'm already used to it。 There is nothing impressive about this book so is just neutral but this is a classic mystery and teen drama book。 I actually had a great time reading this book。 It kinda reminds me of the show Elite an original series on Netflix。 But the characters speak English than Spanish ofc。 I also predict the ending。 Like 7-9 chapters before it ends。 Since I watch a lot of crime, mystery and thriller movies/series, when I read the same genres it doesn't shook me as much cus I'm already used to it。 There is nothing impressive about this book so is just neutral but this is a classic mystery and teen drama book。 。。。more

What a marvelous read! This book is adictive and intringing。 The breakfastclub meets gossip girl plus some angst。 I love how the story is told from different perspectives and that they alternate at a fast pace。 I felt as reader very involved in this book, but it also confronted me sometimes。 The book really made me think about victim blaming and prejudice。

Svetls

This was a great book with the most unexpected ending。 I like the style of writing and the fact that it had multiple POVs。 I definitely recommend。

Incredible book, I couldn’t put this down once I got home from Barnes & Noble。 I cannot wait to get my hands on the sequel! This book is phenomenal, the representation in the characters and their struggles and backstories is so raw and honest。 Another great YA thriller that should be on everyone’s shelf。

I really really loved this book。 It was everything I wanted and expected from it and was just so perfectly satisfying。 Nate = evan mock in my mind 😍

Got pulled into this one via a book club I was participating in。 It’s a breezy YA read, if that’s your thing。 I’m sure my daughter, now 10, will dig it in a year or two if the Netflix movie or series doesn’t come out first。

I am halfway through reading this book and I am obsessed with it。 It reminds me a lot of Pretty Little Liars。 After reading the first chapter I was hooked。 It definitely caught me by surprise and wasn’t at all what I was expecting。 I also already have formed a lot of connections with the characters and am rooting for certain couples。 I love the descriptions the author uses and the mysterious in this book。 I already purchased the sequel and can’t wait to read it。 I started reading this book a cou I am halfway through reading this book and I am obsessed with it。 It reminds me a lot of Pretty Little Liars。 After reading the first chapter I was hooked。 It definitely caught me by surprise and wasn’t at all what I was expecting。 I also already have formed a lot of connections with the characters and am rooting for certain couples。 I love the descriptions the author uses and the mysterious in this book。 I already purchased the sequel and can’t wait to read it。 I started reading this book a couple days ago and already am planning to finish it this weekend or early this coming week。 If anyone has good suggestions to similar mystery books feel free to let me know somehow。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 very interesting plot, good ‘who-dunnit’, the side plots and subject matters within the book were handled well - however as much as i enjoyed and actually sympathised with the four main characters - what a twist it would of been if it was actually one of them! or one of them indirectly involved at least, rather than it being almost predictable- couple of side characters who you aren’t really rooting for anyway。 ANYWAY overall very good :)

Surprisingly good! I get so tired of reading half a book or more for something, anything that feels significant to happen。 This was interesting, intriguing, & mysterious with all the twists & turns til the last page。 One of the best books I’ve read all year without being too fancy。 I’ve read too much stuff lately because I should & not just because I wanted to。 Easy read! Sometimes we need that & it takes a talented writer to make mystery & suspense come together with a touch of romance。

I initially heard from others that this book would be good and amazing but I really didn’t expect to love it。 I’m not gonna lie I did shed a tear or two over this book which is the first time a book has ever made me cry。 I think that says a lot。 The one thing I loved most was the character development with Addy。 Cooper actually wasn’t as one dimensional as I thought he would be。 Nate really showed us his vulnerability and, as far as Brownyn and Nate。 I still love them and I’m glad the epilogue w I initially heard from others that this book would be good and amazing but I really didn’t expect to love it。 I’m not gonna lie I did shed a tear or two over this book which is the first time a book has ever made me cry。 I think that says a lot。 The one thing I loved most was the character development with Addy。 Cooper actually wasn’t as one dimensional as I thought he would be。 Nate really showed us his vulnerability and, as far as Brownyn and Nate。 I still love them and I’m glad the epilogue was bittersweet。 If I really had to choose my favourite character, it would definitely have to be Brownyn。 I also cannot believe I finished this book in 2 weeks。 That’s the fastest I’ve ever finished a book with 300+ pages (I know, I’m a newbie)。 It was so hard to put this book down and I would read during class and cut into my bedtime。 Please please read it, you will either hate it or love it。 (But I highly doubt you’ll hate it)。 Definitely 5/5 stars and I cant wait to read One of Us Is Next! 。。。more

Audiobook while I was driving from the Midwest to the east coast。 Very enjoyable read (listen), kept me interested and entertained but it wasn’t anything profound。 Which is fine because that’s not what I was looking for while I was driving。

okay maybe i’m not the target demographic of this book but still??? HOW WAS IT SO BORING THAT I COULDNT READ MORE THAN A PAGE AT A TIME??? the writing was bland and the plot predictable and you can actually skip pages and pages at a time and still figure out what’s going on like,,, why is there SO MUCH useless filler stuff? anyway i’m glad it’s done and that i didn’t buy the second one :))

I absolutely loved it!!! I loved all the main characters and the mystery was thrilling!

The ending was really cute, felt like i was in high school again and didn’t except some of the plot twist, I wasn’t as interested in certain characters but the character development made me grow to love them, I guess I have to go buy the second one now lol。

Having heard so much about this book i was really looking forward to read it。 So i think i was kinda disappointed when it didn't meet my limits。 Not gonna lie it was good and maybe unexpected but all that anticipation about who kills Simon is not worth the ending。 But overall it was a good read and the i liked the writing style。 Having heard so much about this book i was really looking forward to read it。 So i think i was kinda disappointed when it didn't meet my limits。 Not gonna lie it was good and maybe unexpected but all that anticipation about who kills Simon is not worth the ending。 But overall it was a good read and the i liked the writing style。 。。。more

Murder mystery but added romance to it。 I like the idea of seeing all the characters point of views。 Each character had issues going on so you got a lot of drama
